Q2

-        Our products all connect as they all have they all refer to the ‘stereotypes’ idea as the poster for our film has the title ‘Stereotypes’ written in red with a stamp font, this connotes the idea of labelling along with the images of the characters and red connotes blood and danger. This then links with our film as our narrative is about a psycho who labels the other characters stereotypically and murders them. The murder narrative in our film is also reflected in our poster as we have the hand dripping with blood over the main characters connoting danger, murder and blood.
-        Also our title font on our poster is also used as the title for our film – this is so that our audience can link the poster with our film and can remember our film.
-        Moreover, the tagline for our film ‘Do you conform?’ is used as a rhetorical question in our products, which engages the audience and makes them more curious and adds an enigma to our film as to what exactly the audience should conform to. Our tagline was seen throughout all of our products. For example in my poster it was placed in a white ‘chalkboard’ font under my main images. The tagline was also heard in our radio trailer towards the end of the voice over. It was also heard right at the end of our film when the psycho killer is about to kill Goth girl she says ‘Do you conform?’ to the Goth girl which is shown through a point of view shot from Goth girl putting the audience in the characters position making them more scared. The killer says the tagline through a diegetic sound before she comes over Goth girl with a knife leaving the screen blank, which is how our film ends. This creates an enigma for our audience leaving them wondering if Goth girl gets killed too or not. The tagline used also helps to create an emphasis on our subgenre, psychological thriller, which leaves the audience thrilled

-        Thriller element
